Job Summary
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers to enhance growth, social competence, and parental involvement. Maintain a positive work atmosphere while ensuring excellent punctuality and attendance. Assess classroom and outdoor play area safety before engaging children, organize learning environments per Creative Curriculum and NAEYC standards, and manage staff-to-child ratios. Accompany children to buses, playgrounds, and out-of-center activities with head counts, address toileting and diapering needs, and feed infants on demand while adhering to SIDS safety guidelines. Complete weekly health and safety checklists, maintain accurate educational and nutritional records, and support child transition plans for feeder schools. Adhere to GA licensure and Head Start performance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Childhood Development Associate (CDA) Credential with an Infant/Toddler endorsement
- TCC
- TCD
- Associate's or higher degree in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development
- Special Education
