Job Summary
EHS Environmental Specialist at LG Chem ABS Compounding Facility and CSC in Ravenna, OH. Supports environmental compliance and sustainability performance across air, water, waste, and chemical management, with regulatory reporting and permit obligations for full-scale manufacturing and pilot-scale activities. Responsibilities include maintaining permits and corrective actions, air program duties (PTIO and Title V, operation of air control equipment like RTOs, emissions tracking), wastewater and stormwater compliance, SPCC, hazardous and universal waste management, regulatory reporting (EPCRA, SARA 311/312, TRI), environmental reviews with R&D, training development and delivery, internal audits, and continuous improvement aligned with Corporate EHS management systems. Preferred qualifications include CHMM or CEP certification and experience with compounding, extrusion, or polymer processing; travel limited; schedule primarily day shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline
- 3+ years of environmental compliance experience in chemical or regulated manufacturing environments
- Working knowledge of air, water, waste, and chemical regulations
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now, or in the future
