Job Summary
Director of EHS to lead site safety for data center construction across the global portfolio. Develop and implement enterprise-wide EHS strategy, ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT; ISO45001), and drive a proactive safety culture. Responsibilities include leading EHS standards across construction, managing audits, incident investigations, training, environmental permitting, and hazardous materials management; building and mentoring a high-performing EHS team; integrating EHS requirements into site selection, planning, and field execution; and reporting safety performance to leadership. Requires collaboration with development, construction, engineering, operations, and executives; prioritizing risk reduction and continuous improvement across multiple regions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Operations, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, construction, energy, or industrial environments
- Experience managing EHS for data center hyperscale or colocation development
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and construction safety standards
- Experience managing site safety programs, audits, investigations, and training
- OSHA Certifications a plus
- CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE, or similar professional cert
- Leadership in developing safety programs, emergency response plans, and SOPs/MOPs/EOPs
- Ability to influence safety culture and lead teams
- Military veterans with relevant safety/operational experience encouraged
