Job Summary
Conduct daily safety support and technical assistance to project teams, providing hazard identification and solution recommendations for construction and environmental risks. Serve as a role model for Skanska and subcontractor personnel while maintaining strong communication and client service skills. Identify and implement appropriate controls for safety hazards across various building verticals including schools, roads, and hospitals. Report to a project-based EHS Manager or manage smaller projects independently. Requires 1+ years of experience in hazard identification and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or Engineering. Full-time onsite role in South Hill, VA with competitive base salary and bonus program.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a role assigned to the identification of safety hazards and recommending appropriate controls
- Strong written communication skills
- Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's Degree – Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience
