Job Summary
Coordinate and implement Environmental Health and Safety programs focused on machine safety on the manufacturing floor. Responsibilities include enforcing machine guarding and LOTO, conducting risk assessments and JHAs, leading machine safety audits and incident investigations, maintaining EHS documentation, supporting safety program rollouts and equipment upgrades, and delivering training on topics such as LOTO, machine guarding, safe equipment operation, electrical safety, and emergency stop procedures. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to ensure safe design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment, and assist in developing/updating safety policies, energy control programs, and safe work instructions. Requires strong knowledge of OSHA machine safety standards (OSHA 1910 Subpart O), ANSI standards (e.g., ANSI B11), and experience with CNC, conveyors, robotics, and fabrication machinery; minimum 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial settings; education in occupational health & safety or related field (associate or bachelor’s preferred). The role is on-site in Streetsboro and Aurora, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with machine safety principles, machine guarding design, and LOTO
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or OSHA 511 (Preferred)
- HAZWOPER (Preferred)
- First Aid/CPR (Preferred)
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in occupational health & safety or related field
- Experience with machine safety principles (OSHA 1910 Subpart O) and risk assessments
- Experience with machine guarding design and LOTO procedures
- Strong training and communication skills
- Proficiency with EHS management systems and Microsoft Office
