Job Summary
Lead Construction Safety and HSE consulting engagements for domestic and international clients by conducting safety audits, site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses. Support the development of safety management plans, procedures, and standards while participating in safety meetings with owners, contractors, and subcontractors. Monitor safety KPIs, investigate incidents to develop corrective actions, and deliver training programs. Mentor junior consultants and manage multiple project engagements. Provide recommendations from both operational and management perspectives to reduce safety risks and improve project performance across data centers, semiconductors, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in construction safety, occupational health & safety, or HSE-related roles
- Experience working for a construction company, EPC contractor, owner organization, or consulting firm
- Experience in safety auditing, safety management, or construction management
- Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders
- Native-level Japanese language skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including participation in meetings and written correspondence
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting data center, semiconductor, manufacturing, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and industry best practices
- Certified Occupational Safety Consultant qualification
- Construction Management or related professional certification
- International safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or CSP
- Strong safety mindset and risk awareness
- Ability to provide recommendations from both operational and management perspectives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members
