Job Summary
Conduct safety audits, site patrols, and risk assessments for domestic and international construction clients. Develop safety management plans, procedures, and standards while monitoring KPIs and leading incident investigations. Participate in safety meetings with owners, contractors, and subcontractors to drive compliance and performance improvement. Deliver safety training programs and prepare client reports and presentations. Mentor junior consultants and support project management across multiple engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in construction safety, occupational health & safety, or HSE-related roles
- Experience working for a construction company, EPC contractor, owner organization, or consulting firm
- Experience in safety auditing, safety management, or construction management
- Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders
- Native-level Japanese language skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including participation in meetings and written correspondence
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting data center, semiconductor, manufacturing, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and industry best practices
- Certified Occupational Safety Consultant qualification
- Construction Management or related professional certification
- International safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or CSP
- Strong safety mindset and risk awareness
- Ability to provide recommendations from both operational and management perspectives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members
