Job Summary
The EHS Classroom Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations of center-based programs in the assigned county, supervising staff under the Vice President of Early Childhood Education. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring staff, ensuring program quality and compliance with standards, delivering developmentally appropriate activities for very young children, and collaborating with families, volunteers, and community partners to support children’s growth and learning. Ideal candidates will have leadership and staff coaching skills, strong communication and relationship-building abilities, and the ability to manage childcare operations with attention to safety and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Associates Degree with experience in Early Childhood related field may be substituted
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance, and meet agency insurability requirements
- Willingness to pursue additional education as required by state and federal standards
- Knowledge of childcare program management, food services management, and effective communication with infants and toddlers
- Ability to learn basic principles of teaching and strong English writing skills
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop or stand for extended periods; capable of lifting 40+ lbs
- Safety and universal precautions must be followed including post-hire training as required
