Job Summary

Conduct ongoing assessments of teaching practices in partner classrooms using research-based tools and techniques. Develop individualized coaching plans for teaching staff, focusing on professional growth and alignment with program standards. Provide group-based training sessions on curriculum implementation, child development, and classroom management, followed by hands-on, classroom-based coaching to support staff in applying new strategies. Monitor progress toward coaching goals, document outcomes, and prepare accurate records of all activities. Collaborate with program administrators to align coaching activities with organizational goals and compliance requirements while assisting partner sites in implementing evidence-based teaching strategies. Stay updated on Head Start Performance Standards and state regulations to ensure high-quality learning environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with a focus on coaching, training, or mentoring
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and early childhood quality improvement frameworks
  • Proficiency in assessment tools such as CLASS, ECERS, or similar instruments
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion in early childhood education
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population including low to moderate-income families
  • Passion for service to the community
