EHS Associate - Capital Projects

EHS Associate - Capital Projects: Serve as the primary liaison between site EH&S and capital project teams; participate in project design reviews and planning meetings to ensure EH&S requirements, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction measures are incorporated into project scope and execution; review engineering designs, layouts, equipment specifications, and construction activities for compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ASME, ANSI, and other local regulatory requirements; coordinate and support Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs), Management of Change (MOC) activities, commissioning activities, and operational readiness assessments; utilize EH&S systems and digital tools (e.g., Salesforce-based EH&S platforms) to track project reviews, action items, change controls, and compliance documentation; conduct field oversight and inspections to verify EH&S compliance; collaborate with Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental, and other EHS programs to identify and resolve EH&S risks; provide technical guidance related to machine safeguarding, hazardous energy, pressure systems, hazardous gases, chemical safety, and process safety; identify EH&S gaps and track closure; interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and technical specifications; support during shutdowns, startups, and other project-related activities outside normal hours; strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills; travel may be required.
