Job Summary
Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and toolbox talks while managing COSHH assessments, hazardous substance controls, and waste reduction programs. Coordinate project safety indicators, method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems to ensure adherence to statutory provisions and PSCS plans. Lead accident investigations, maintain records for statutory inspections, and liaise with site management and sub-contractors on environmental and health safety issues. Manage welfare facilities, PPE resources, and induction training while ensuring corrective actions are registered and followed up.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
- 7+ years' experience of managing environmental, health and safety on large construction sites
- Experience working on Data Centres
- 5+ years managing a team of EHS advisors
- Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
- Flexibility in working patterns where necessary
- Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site
- Strong communication & computer skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Close attention to detail
- Good team-working skills
