Job Summary
Coordinate statutory requirements and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems to control risks and prevent accidents at the Kendal facility. Build communication with technical, engineering, and manufacturing departments to implement EHS objectives, conduct inspections, audits, and safety tours to identify non-compliance and best practices. Publish and review Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), manage Occupational Health surveillance, and investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes and remedial actions. Represent the company to clients and subcontractors while ensuring EHS is integrated into all operational stages.
Required Qualifications
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- Relevant work experience in an EHS role within a Manufacturing, Construction or Engineering role
- Extensive knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 45001:2018
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 14001:2015
- Knowledge of relevant Standards
- Knowledge of other relevant legislation
- Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to liaise with all levels within organization
- Proven track record of developing relationships
