Job Summary
Maintain comprehensive safety records, training logs, and environmental databases to ensure the facility remains audit-ready. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety manuals while supporting adherence to OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards. Conduct regular walk-throughs of the manufacturing area to support safety initiatives and engage with departmental teams on EHS-related needs. Provide cross-departmental support to HR and EHS leadership by managing reporting schedules and distributing safety communications. Shadow incident reporting and investigations to contribute to root-cause analysis and preventive action planning. This role blends office administration with active floor engagement, offering opportunities to shadow incident investigations and earn certifications like OSHA.
Required Qualifications
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to communicate safety requirements clearly to diverse teams
- High level of accuracy in data entry and document control
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or manufacturing environment
- Foundational interest in or knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Specific experience with ISO standards
- Ability to learn and master internal EHS software and reporting platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for record-keeping
- Highly organized
- Eager to learn the EHS field
