Job Summary
EHR System Analyst responsible for supporting daily use, troubleshooting, training, testing and implementation of the EHR system. Provides frontline support to providers and staff, assists with training, and participates in testing and implementation of new features and system improvements. Maintains EHR workflows, templates, and documentation standards; escalates complex issues to the Senior EHR System Analyst or vendor. Participates in user training and develops training materials, conducts go-live support, and collaborates with clinical staff, IT, and the EHR vendor to ensure reliable operation. Travel within the designated service area is required. This role contributes to ongoing EHR enhancement efforts and may be involved in basic testing for changes, upgrades, and patches.
Required Qualifications
- A high school degree or GED equivalent is required
- A bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology, Informatics, Computer Science or related fields is preferred
- 2-4 years of experience supporting an EHR system in a behavioral health or healthcare setting is required
- 1 year of prior experience with the CareLogic or NextGen EHR preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAARegulations and confidentiality requirements is required
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are required
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance coverage are required
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment
