Job Summary
EHR Specialist to support the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s Electronic Health Records system. Responsible for maintaining training materials, assisting in training, documenting and communicating changes from vendor releases, coordinating testing and implementation of EHR changes with stakeholders, collaborating with EHR vendor support, serving as escalation point for EHR-related questions, contributing to EHR governance, assisting in planning new initiatives, and ensuring interface integrity and security configurations. Requires strong training, documentation, vendor coordination, change management, problem solving, and communication skills; prior experience with EHR systems, documentation of policies/procedures, and knowledge of HL7/FHIR are preferred. Office presence is required; travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or Management, Project Management, Public Health, Nursing, Business, or related degree and three (3) years of experience; OR Associate’s degree plus an additional five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Applicants must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position and possess a valid driver’s license.
