Job Summary
EHR Manager - oversee SCADD's health information systems, ensure regulatory compliance, train staff, develop reporting tools, and protect client privacy. Responsibilities include vendor liaison for EHR issues, dashboard/report development, handling medical record requests, managing paper records, ensuring timely destruction per policy, overseeing DMHAS data-related processes, preparing funding reports, and participating in quality improvement projects. Qualifications include certification or equivalent education in health records management, HIPAA/CFR 42 Part 2 knowledge, EHR experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate in medical/health records management, or a High School Diploma or GED with related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulatory requirements related to HIPAA, CFR 42 Part 2, and information technology and report building
- Experience with electronic health record systems and database management
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and SCADD's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
