Job Summary
Design, build, test, validate, and provide ongoing support for mission-critical applications across LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Independently interact with clients to develop solutions for identified issues while collaborating with vendors, department areas, and customers. Manage time effectively to plan and implement objectives, analyze data and processes based on limited information, and make recommendations. Obtain certification in primary Epic applications within assigned areas. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, two years of healthcare IT experience, and proficiency in Epic or similar systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, or a related field
- Minimum two years of experience in healthcare, information technology, or a related field
- Certification in primary EPIC application
- Ability to independently interact with clients
- Critical thinking skills

- Solid knowledge of the business/operational area supported by application
- Knowledge and understanding of related Information Technology trends and applications
- Solid knowledge of clinical or business/revenue cycle workflow in healthcare
- Ability to read

- Ability to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position
- Working knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Access, and other project management tools
- Ability to relate and communicate positively and effectively with others
