Job Summary
Environmental Scientist in Industrial Hygiene & Built Environment performing field-based testing (asbestos, lead, mold), air and bulk sampling, IAQ assessments, documentation, and abatement oversight across client sites in the Los Angeles area. Responsibilities include on-site environmental monitoring and inspections for hazardous materials, air sampling, coordination with laboratories, maintaining defensible project records, ensuring regulatory compliance (OSHA, CDPH), equipment calibration, and collaboration with project managers and industrial hygienists. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred), 1-2 years of field experience, knowledge of asbestos/lead/mold inspection and sampling, CSST certification, and a valid driver’s license. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
- 1 -2 years of experience in industrial hygiene, environmental consulting, or hazardous materials fieldwork
- Knowledge of asbestos, lead, and mold inspection and sampling techniques
- Familiarity with air sampling methods and laboratory coordination procedures
- Ability to work independently in the field and travel to project sites throughout the Los Angeles area
- Strong attention to detail and clear written documentation skills
- Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST)
- Valid Driver’s License
