EH&S Engineer (Field Operations)

Job Summary
Develop and enforce EHS programs for Base’s field operations in Texas; perform hazard assessments, incident investigations, and address safety concerns while collaborating with site leaders to prevent injuries and ensure environmental compliance with applicable regulations (OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH). Conduct industrial hygiene studies, inspect facilities and equipment, implement machine guarding, and maintain safety observations through audits. Investigate accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures. Create safety solutions within cost and schedule constraints, manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and ensure personnel, property, and environmental safety. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering with emphasis in occupational health and safety or environmental engineering and 3+ years’ experience in EHS disciplines; strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and emergency response/incident management capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in occupational health and safety and/or environmental engineering
- 3+ years of experience in the design, development and operational oversight of environmental, health and safety disciplines
- Knowledge of process safety management methods, pressure systems, and chemical delivery systems
- Strong knowledge and experience in interpreting, applying and documenting federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations
- Experience with emergency response communication and incident management in incidents involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases to air, soil, and water
