Job Summary
EH&S Associate at Calgon Carbon, a Kuraray Company, will lead and support Health and Safety programs at the Pittsburgh Equipment and Assembly manufacturing site. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, performing industrial hygiene surveys, delivering regulatory training (crane/slings/rigging, forklift, respirator, hazard communication, LOTO, hot work, machine guarding), conducting internal self-assessments, coaching line management, leading incident investigations, tracking corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement in safety and health performance. The role requires field presence at the site, collaboration with regional centers of excellence, and development of site HS standards and training to foster a high-consequence safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) required
- ASP Certification required
- 2-3 years EHS background in 29 CFR 1910 is required
- 2-3 years manufacturing or heavy industrial environment experience required
- 3-5 years Health and Safety experience required
- Strong communication abilities (horizontal and vertical) preferred
- Leadership/training/coach capabilities preferred
