EGSE Test Engineer

Job Summary
AIT EGSE engineer to help design, maintain, and document the EGSE architecture required to support testing of space systems, including environmental tests and launch campaigns. Responsibilities include defining and assessing EGSE needs for testing (flight mode and engineering models/test beds); designing, building, troubleshooting, and maintaining EGSE hardware and software; preparing documentation; manufacturing EGSE components; supporting the test team during testing activities; and participating in environmental tests and launch campaigns. Requirements include a degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering (or comparable qualification), hands-on experience with EGSE hardware and IT/network infrastructure, ability to develop software (Python, LabVIEW), familiarity with CCS5/COSMOS or similar mission control software, experience with solar array testing and EGSE in electrical/power contexts, proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics, and willingness to travel worldwide. English fluency and a collaborative, organized working style are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification
- Practical experience with electrical/electronic components and IT network infrastructure
- Physical assembly of EGSE (rack building, cabling)
- Network configuration (segmentation, subnetting)
- Network protocols (TCP/IP)
- Ability to develop software in Python, LabVIEW
- Exposure to Mission Control Software platforms like CCS5, COSMOS or similar
- Experience with solar array testing and with communication and power EGSE
- Ability to read and apply technical manuals, data reports, schematics and design specifications
- Willingness to travel worldwide for test and launch campaigns
- Fluent in written and spoken English
