Job Summary
Pack eggs into cartons per daily order sheets, inspecting each for cleanliness and damage while replacing flawed items with intact ones. Monitor the packing line for efficiency, reporting issues to supervisors immediately, and verify date stamps, USDA seals, and US/EB markings on every carton. Maintain a sterile work area by cleaning up spills instantly, removing obstructions, and following all hygiene and safety protocols to prevent contamination. Lift up to 20 pounds regularly while standing for long periods in a temperature-controlled environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move cartons of eggs as needed
- Strong focus on cleanliness and product quality
- Good communication skills to report issues to supervisors or managers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must follow safety protocols and be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Ability to stand for long periods during shifts
- Ability to lift cartons of eggs, and bend or stoop to clean up or adjust cartons as necessary
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly
