Job Summary
eFX Software Developer, AVP responsible for designing and developing high-performance, low-latency Java applications for the eFX eTrading platform. Focus on supporting market making, algo trading, pricing, hedging, and position management; building/maintaining core modules including pricing engines, trade booking services, FIX-based adaptor integrations, and real-time data processing pipelines. Collaborate with quant developers, business analysts, and onsite teams across Hangzhou, London, and Boston to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Participate in the full SDLC from requirements analysis to production deployment and support. Optimize system performance through profiling and JVM tuning to achieve ultra-low-latency execution for FX trading workflows. Contribute to framework evolution for reusability and maintainability across eFX applications. Troubleshoot production issues with global support teams for incident management and root cause analysis. Preferred skills include English communication, Java proficiency, Spring/Spring Boot, FIX protocol familiarity, CI/CD tooling, Linux/Shell, and a mindset for secure, scalable, distributed systems. Additional pluses include Rust, Phoenix, Aeron, distributed databases, and other high-performance messaging frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Java, JDK 17+
- deep understanding of multi-threading and JVM internals
- experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
- exposure to FIX protocol and trading venues
- CI/CD tooling (Maven, Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory)
- Solid Linux skills (RHEL)
- production incident management and troubleshooting
- ability to obtain security clearances as required by policy
- ability to work with global teams across time zones
