Job Summary
Develop and maintain Technical Instructions to achieve the most technically efficient, modern, and low-cost repair methods. Define technical requirements for component repair processes and ensure the network meets them while managing delivery through the technical authoring supply chain. Support Product quality assessments including First and Last Article Inspections and approve repair suppliers. Interface between Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Service Operations, and Design to identify improvements and return service run components to serviceable condition. Support the setup of new repair facilities and identify technology gaps.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years of Aftermarket engine support
- U.S. Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant technical degree
- Equivalent industrial experience
- Master's degree
- PhD degree
- Good knowledge of functionality of relevant components and systems with full consideration of the intended form, fit and function of the product
- Ability to apply a practical solution to a technical problem in a timely manner
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and special processes
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and apply practical manufacturing thinking
