Job Summary
The Case Planner is responsible for developing and implementing service plans to ensure safety, permanency, and well-being for children and youth in foster care. Key responsibilities include conducting face-to-face contacts with the child and family, completing various safety checklists, assessing safety and risk, making referrals for services, providing crisis intervention, and attending court appearances. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, with a BSW or MSW preferred, and demonstrate excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a valid NYS Driver License.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Approved background clearances and fingerprinting are required
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Connections
- Valid NYS Driver License required
Desired Qualifications
- BSW or MSW preferred
- Bilingual abilities are strongly encouraged
