Job Summary
Assist doctors with charting, filling placement, operatory cleanup, and patient education while performing expanded duties like placing amalgam or composite fillings, adapting temporary crowns, removing sutures, and applying fluoride. Record and review patient health history, make chart entries, and update treatment plans in dental software under the doctor's direction. Maintain compliance with state regulations and ensure all forms and signatures are completed accurately. Schedule includes Wednesdays 8am-5pm, Thursdays 10am-7pm, one Saturday per month 8am-12pm, and possible Tuesdays. Pay rate is $30.00-34.00 per hour. EFDA certification or on-the-job training is required, along with radiography licensure and CPR certification. 1-5 years of experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements
- Radiography licensure for respective state requirements
- CPR Certification is required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary
- Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance
- Assists doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education
- Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments. Limitations due apply per state requirements
- Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software
- Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating
