Job Summary
Assist doctors with charting, placement of fillings, operatory set-up, and patient education while performing expanded duties like placing amalgam or composite fillings, adapting temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments. Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under direction, and update treatment plans in dental software. Maintain compliance with state regulations and hold EFDA certification or complete on-the-job training, along with radiography licensure and CPR certification. Requires 1-5 years of experience or willingness to train as a new graduate.
Required Qualifications
- EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements
- Radiography licensure for respective state requirements
- CPR Certification is required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary
