Job Summary
Oversee operational files by assigning, reviewing, and closing investigations while managing team workloads and coordinating interventions. Mentor patrol officers on procedures and conduct, monitor service delivery efficiency, and ensure all actions comply with legal requirements and professional ethics. Coordinate critical-incident responses, liaise with partner agencies, and assist the Lieutenant with orienting new officers and managing shift schedules. Review reports for accuracy, conduct victim follow-ups, and ensure safety measures are taken during operations. Maintain good standing with EEPF and hold a valid driver's license for emergency vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma from the École Nationale de Police du Québec or an equivalent
- 5 to 8 years of experience as a Police Officer
- Fluency in Cree, French, and English (2 out of 3 minimum)
- Knowledge of EEPF operations, methods, policies, procedures and practices
- Ability to management policies, operational and administrative guidelines and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Demonstrates clear leadership capabilities and sets the example for others
- Ability to evaluate/solve problems and to make decisions under stressful conditions or when clear and well-defined courses of action are not always readily apparent
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and initiative
- Discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
- Have no criminal record
- Be in good standing with EEPF
- Hold a valid driver's license for motor vehicles (class 5) and be eligible to obtain a driver's licence for an emergency vehicle
