Job Summary
Supervise and engage preschool through 12th-grade students during multiple campus activities while maintaining a clean, organized environment. Assist in planning daily programs, setting up activity areas, and coordinating calendars for events. Monitor student conduct, resolve minor conflicts, and ensure safety protocols are followed, including enforcing rules during drop-off and pick-up. Provide first aid and CPR in emergency situations, document incidents, and deliver packages throughout the campus. Support the teaching staff by covering breaks and absences, assist with office administrative duties, and help with small maintenance projects. Work independently in a noisy setting, lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Requires 1-2 years of experience working with children, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and 12 ECE units.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working with children in an academic setting
- Knowledge of safety rules and habits
- Ability to perform routine First Aid and CPR
- Ability to understand, implement, and give oral and written directions in English
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities
- Ability to maintain cooperative relationships
- Ability to multitask effectively and calmly in an often noisy and hectic environment
- Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of two hours at a time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to effectively use a ladder and basic tools
- Ability to properly document incidents on campus
- Ability to treat all children with dignity and respect
- Ability to demonstrate patience and self-control in dealing with students and staff
- Ability to display energy and enthusiasm, maintaining evident interest in the job
- Ability to contribute and share ideas freely with other staff members
- Ability to use appropriate language in and out of the classroom

- Ability to assist students to resolve minor conflicts
- Ability to ensure safety protocol and procedures with parents at drop-off/pick-up in parking lot
- Ability to monitor students to ensure their health, safety, and physical well-being
- Ability to observe that safety rules are obeyed and apply school site disciplinary policy and student conduct code
- Ability to report unauthorized activities and unauthorized persons on school grounds to appropriate authority
- Ability to organize/maintain storage areas on campus
- Ability to deliver packages throughout campus
- Ability to move boxes, small furniture, etc. when needed
- Ability to support office administrative team with office duties, when needed
- Ability to support preparation for events and programming on campus
- Ability to support teaching staff/covers for teachers during breaks and/or absences, as needed
- Ability to assist with the communication process of accident reports if students are injured
- Ability to assist with the development and coordination of the calendar for program activities and events designed to complement student learning and enrichment
- Ability to assist in the planning and implementation of a daily program which will meet the needs of the children in attendance
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment for students
