Job Summary
Investigator conducts formal EEO investigations of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, develops investigation plans, coordinates logistics for statewide and facility-based inquiries, and prepares written findings. Uses sources such as LEXIS NEXIS and EEOC guidance to support determinations; provides policy interpretation to employees, supervisors, and management; collaborates with the Office of General Counsel and NC Department of Justice; collects/analyzes data to support the agency's EEO plan; delivers EEO education, training, and outreach; and supports related EEO program needs. Candidates should have experience in workplace investigations, interviewing techniques, and knowledge of federal/state EEO laws and regulations (e.g., Title VII, ADA, ADEA, GINA) with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and a track record of developing/com delivering compliance training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and 4 years of experience OR GED diploma and 6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
