Job Summary
Investigate internal employee complaints involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, including sexual harassment claims, to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws. Provide an internal avenue of redress through the investigation and resolution of complaints of unlawful employment discrimination and harassment. Assist with other assignments and special projects as required while reporting to various healthcare facilities throughout New York City. Maintain the System's compliance with all anti-discrimination laws to ensure equal opportunity within employment terms.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience conducting EEO related investigations
- Must be familiar with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws
- Substantial experience in conducting investigations
- Strong writing skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws
- Must be able to report to various healthcare facilities throughout New York City to provide targeted, timely, and productive support for the Office of EEO as necessary
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's Degree is required
Desired Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred
- Strong investigative skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills required
- Adept at quickly synthesizing information to distill critical issues and formulate recommendations that consider risks, benefits and alternative perspectives
- Strong people skills and can understand and effectively navigate within a large organizational structure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced health care/hospital setting
