Job Summary
Perform inpatient electroencephalograms (EEG) and electronic processing in Epic; secure electrodes, monitor patient status, identify and correct issues during the recording process. Training includes an EEG Technician Program or equivalent; BLS certification required and EEG technology credentials (R.EEG T./EEGT or ABRET) or equivalent preferred within 2 years. Focus on accurate EEG acquisition, electrode maintenance, and coordination with clinical teams.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of EEG Technician Program - Required or Equivalent Training or Experience considered in lieu of Education Requirements
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
- R.EEG T. Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist - ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation or EEGT Electroencephalographic – American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists or Equivalent Preferred within 2 years of hire
- Ability to securely place electrodes and monitor during EEG recording
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to accurately perform and process Electroencephalograms
