Job Summary
Perform Electroencephalogram (EEG) and evoke potential studies, recognizing ictal and inter-ictal electrographic patterns while managing clinical seizures or medical emergencies as required. Prepares patients for procedures, communicates protocols, positions them correctly, and assists through all phases using mobile units when appropriate. Maintain and properly use all equipment and supplies. Requires completion of a certified EEG program, board certification or registry eligibility, and at least three years of hospital or ambulatory experience performing routine and complex EEGs. Proficiency with pediatrics, adult, and geriatric patients is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified END program
- Board Certified (ABRET) or registry eligible
- Knowledge of all phases of EEG testing
- Knowledge of long term monitoring
- Neuro ICU experience
- At least 3 years' experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting, performing routine and complex EEG's
