Job Summary
Conduct routine and advanced electroneurodiagnostics testing procedures including EEG, BAEP, VEP, and ambulatory studies under physician orders and clinical supervision. Select and verify equipment integrity, troubleshoot issues, and prioritize workload to ensure quality and expedient testing. Provide patient instruction, respond to emergency situations, and document clinical findings accurately. Participate in on-call rotation(s) and quality improvement processes while collaborating with physicians and specialty technologists. Perform other duties as identified by leadership. Requires tolerance for irregular hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- American Heart Association CPR certification
- Ability to lift 35 lbs
- Ability to push and pull 20 lbs
- Auditory and visual skills to include color determination
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to reach above/overhead
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
- Capacity to cope with difficult situations
- Ability to tolerate irregular hours including evenings, nights, and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months clinical experience in field of Electroneurodiagnostics
- Graduation from an AMA EEG Program
- Successful completion of CBOT within 90-day probationary period
