Job Summary
Perform electroencephalograph and neurodiagnostic examinations under department manager supervision, receiving physician orders, scheduling patients, and obtaining medical histories. Prepare patients for procedures by measuring electrode sites and applying electrodes, while performing advanced exams and maintaining equipment. Schedule other techs and assist the department manager with entry-level supervisory duties as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, rotating between Cypress and Sugarland locations. Train for EMG and meet continuing education requirements to support preceptorship and mentorship of less experienced staff.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support certification
- Eligible to take the National Registry exam
- Minimum three (3) years directly related experience
- Associate's degree from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program
- Five (5) years' experience if no Associate's degree
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Three days at Cypress
- Two days at Sugarland
- Will train for EMG
