Job Summary
Administers EEG tests to obtain data for analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain and central nervous system. Performs EEG studies on patients as ordered by physicians; greets patients and explains procedures; obtains medical history pertinent to EEG; prepares patients and assists in administration of medications if needed; monitors patient safety and records any reactions; provides appropriate aftercare; maintains records, logs, and statistics of all patients seen in the lab; operates medical equipment including Digital EEG and ambulatory EEG systems and related devices; assists in clerical duties as needed as a member of the health care team; requires strong communication and patient interaction skills, ability to learn new technology and systems, familiarity with the clinic environment, and good time-management.
