EEG Clinical Systems Lead - Nights

Job Summary
Record high-quality electroencephalogram studies using electronic equipment for nervous system diagnosis and prognosis. Perform independent EEG procedures under indirect supervision with immediate physician availability. Coordinate with medical information systems, biomedical, and external vendors for device optimization and network compatibility. Lead the EEG BIOMED/IS committee to identify technical barriers, investigate new practices, and serve as a preceptor for staff. Maintain biomed records, write reports, and coordinate outside repairs while ensuring patient equipment safety. Requires CAAHEP-accredited END technology graduation, ABRET registration, three years of EEG experience, and current BLS certification. Must take call and work rotating shifts including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited program of Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology or the equivalent
- Registered as an EEG Technician by ABRET
- Three years of EEG Tech work experience
- Ability to make accurate physical observations of patients
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must take call
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for rotating shifts
- Must be able to work under stressful conditions
- Considerable knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Knowledge of human anatomy
- Ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions
- Ability to work independently on repairs
- Ability to perform safety testing
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance
- Ability to maintain biomed records
- Ability to write reports
- Ability to coordinate outside repairs
- Ability to work under indirect supervision
