EE Vehicle T&V - Powertrain & Charging Lead Engineer

Job Summary

Conduct attribute performance evaluations for ride, handling, NVH, and thermal metrics on India-built vehicles, identifying deviations and escalating issues to leads. Oversee calibration and maintenance of measurement tools, manage in-country test planning for road and climatic validations, and witness local homologation and regulatory tests. Lead benchmarking of competitor vehicles, analyze media reviews for product improvements, and address critical customer issues with technical feedback. Collaborate with marketing to integrate brand positioning into vehicle specifications while providing regular updates on competitor intelligence and charging standards compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related majors
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, INCA, Ethernet, DoIP
  • Hands-on experience in vehicle network testing and mock simulation on CAN, LIN, INCA, etc.
  • Practical experience with automotive testing, ECU bench setup, hardware connections, and troubleshooting test benches
  • Good understanding of vehicle network architecture; hands-on experience in ECU flashing and variant coding
  • Proven experience in ECU flash and coding activities
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the automotive field
  • Knowledge and experience with charging standards such as IEC 61851, ISO 15118, BMS systems, and charging systems
  • Understanding of Plug & Charge systems
  • Experience in managing test partners
  • Deep knowledge of charging tests in the field (Interoperability)
  • Ability to identify non-compliance with standards and resolve related issues
  • Ability to proactively suggest improvements in work methodologies
  • High level of analytical ability to solve unique and complex problems
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Logical thinking, honesty, compliance mindset, hard-working, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of issue-resolution disciplines (problem solving, decision making, root cause analysis, etc.)
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong teamwork skills; able to collaborate effectively while maintaining confidence in one's own expertise
  • B2 driving license is mandatory
  • Strong independent working capability
  • Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
  • Good understanding of charging systems and battery functions

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of Plug & Charge systems is an advantage
  • Knowledge of regional electrical regulations and standards in target markets (EU/US/CA/SEA) is a plus
