Evaluate students with orthopedic, neuro-physiological, and developmental deficits upon assignment. Formulate treatment programs using physical agents, exercise, stretching, and joint mobilization. Communicate therapeutic procedures to parents, teachers, and staff while attending meetings to convey student care information. Supervise PT assistants, students, and observational volunteers in accordance with organizational policies. Review, discuss, and counter-sign progress notes and re-evaluations for PTAs. Maintain accurate prescriptions for each student and complete all required documentation thoroughly. Provide a safe, supervised nurturing environment and may visit student homes with prior permission. Participate in in-services and supervise limited permit clinicians.
