Job Summary
Support the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, activities, and routines for PreK students. Work with individual learners and small groups to reinforce academic, social, emotional, and developmental skills while assisting students in developing independence and self-regulation. Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, transitions, lunch, and other school functions, and assist with daily care needs including arrival, dismissal, and meals. Prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized, clean, and safe classroom environment. Collaborate with the PreK teacher, specialists, and administrators to integrate Catholic faith and values into daily life. Complete assigned duties related to the PreK program and school operations.
Required Qualifications
- Meet applicable Archdiocese of Seattle and Washington State requirements for employment in an early learning setting
- Background check
- Required early learning/childcare training
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Bloodborne Pathogens training
- Food Handler Permit, as applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Have experience working with young children; experience in a preschool, PreK, childcare, or elementary school setting is preferred
- Support the mission and values of Catholic education and be willing to participate in the faith life of the school
