Job Summary
Support curriculum implementation through play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Minnesota's early learning standards while maintaining a positive classroom culture. Provide active supervision for children during indoor and outdoor activities, assist in observing developmental milestones, and uphold safety protocols by managing behavior guidance strategies. Maintain an organized environment, greet families during drop-off and pick-up, and provide daily updates on meals, rest, and learning experiences. This role requires meeting Minnesota DHS qualification requirements, holding valid CPR/First Aid certification, and possesses the physical ability to lift up to 65lbs. Full-time Monday through Friday employment offers ongoing professional development, comprehensive health benefits, and a starting wage of $14 to $17 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) Teacher's Aide qualification requirements
- Willingness to undergo background checks and meet state licensing requirements for working in a childcare setting
- Must possess a valid CPR/First Aid certification, or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, which may include - standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Lifting and carrying young children and classroom materials - up to 65lbs
- Bending, stooping, and kneeling to interact with children at their level
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies or situations requiring physical intervention
- Valid driver's license
