Job Summary
Part-time Religion Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year at St. Mary School in Aberdeen, WA. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Lead Religion teacher, instructing students in the Catholic faith using the approved curriculum, adapting instruction for diverse learners, evaluating student faith knowledge and communicating progress, maintaining records, enforcing classroom behavior standards, and participating in staff meetings. Requires practicing Catholic, 18+, high school diploma or equivalent (associates/bachelor a plus), completion of Safe Environment Training, and passing a Washington state background check. Schedule is to be determined and mutually agreed upon; salary is hourly in the range $19.50–$22.00. Benefits provided. Location: Aberdeen, WA, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic (Required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Religion instruction practices/curriculum and Catholic Social Teachings
- Extended experience working with and instructing elementary aged children
- Evidence of ability to interact collaboratively with students, parents, and administration
- Evidence of excellent oral and written skills
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent; Associates and/or Bachelor Degree, a plus
- Ability to complete the Seattle Archdiocese’s Safe Environment Training
- Clear a Washington State Background Check
