Job Summary
Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing and clinical staff across Surgical, Cath Lab, GI lab, and PreOP PACU departments. Collaborate with leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to assess training needs and deliver learner-focused experiences, including orientation programs for new hires and new graduates. Provide hands-on training, classroom instruction, and simulation-based learning to build clinical competencies while maintaining accurate records of certifications and compliance documentation. Support clinical rotation programs for students and occasionally travel to other local Northwest Healthcare campuses. Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and competency assessments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
- 1-2 years of experience in education, training, or professional development in a healthcare setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Demonstrates the ability to engage adult learners and facilitate effective learning in a clinical setting using diverse teaching strategies tailored to individual needs
- Serves as a role model of professional behavior, promoting ethical practices and a culture of excellence
- Adapts to changes in a dynamic healthcare environment with a positive and professional approach
- Exhibits strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to drive successful educational outcomes
- Maintains current clinical skills and knowledge to ensure training programs align with the latest evidence-based practices and standards
- Understands the principles of adult learning and applies innovative methods to enhance engagement and retention for diverse learner groups
