Job Summary
Conduct competency-based unit orientation and education programs for new and existing staff using adult learning principles to accommodate generational differences. Work side-by-side with staff to train, assess progress, and provide real-time feedback that turns successes and failures into meaningful training moments. Collaborate with Staff Development colleagues to strategically plan educational programs, minimize duplication, and ensure standardization of materials. Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and preceptor while influencing the workforce to achieve high performance aligned with the nursing strategic plan. Present lectures on clinical specialties and support professional governance groups to attain Magnet Recognition standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- Three years clinical nursing experience in primary area of specialty
- Substantial knowledge of clinical practice specialty
