Job Summary
Educational Support Personnel (ESP) for the Spinnaker Program serving students in grades 3–6. Responsibilities include providing direct instruction under teacher supervision, offering academic, social, and behavioral support in classrooms (including small groups and individual work), assisting with duties as assigned by administration, implementing accommodations for IEPs/504s/health plans, participating in professional development, and responding to emergencies to de-escalate crises. Specific duties include assisting with adaptive behaviors, routine exposure to bodily fluids, and crisis management as needed, with use of discrete trial training (DTT) for direct instruction and ensuring safety and compliance with district policies. Requires collaboration with teachers, supervisors, and ESPs, and may involve reassignment based on student needs. Pay range is $27.04–$32.23 per hour (annualized for budgeting).
Required Qualifications
- Two years post High School Education preferred
- Experience working with special education students preferred
