Job Summary
Lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method with instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and take-home projects to show how science affects the world, using the pre-set curriculum and supplies. Travel to daycares, preschools, schools, and other venues for outreach classes; when not teaching, contribute to the Operations team by maintaining client communications, bookings, invoices, surveys, and promotional materials, and helping maintain equipment. Requires comfort working with elementary-age groups, a flexible schedule (30-40 hours/week, including some weekend daytime programs), a reliable car and valid driver\'s license, and a criminal background check. Training provided; long-term, year-round employment offered with base pay plus a bonus plan.
Required Qualifications
- Some experience working with groups of elementary age children (5-12)
- Available at least four days during the week and able to work at least twice a month on a few daytime programs on the weekends; flexible schedule; 30-40 hours per week
- Reliable car and valid driver\'s license
- Must undergo a criminal background check
- Able to lift equipment up to 25 pounds
