Job Summary
Educational Leader at Goodstart Port Kennedy leads changes in educational practice by collaborating with Educators to observe, review, and enhance Centre programs, deepen understanding of child development and Early Years content, and guide application of the Early Years Learning Framework. You will work with the centre leadership team to drive excellence in educational practice, support a warm, inclusive team culture, and contribute to a 99-place Centre offering a range of rooms from Nursery to Kindergarten. The role emphasizes leadership in education, program planning and development, staff mentorship, and ensuring high-quality learning experiences aligned with national standards, with salary aligned to state teacher pay and additional Educational Leader allowance. A Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA equivalent) and WA Working with Children Check are required, with potential for Bachelor level qualifications and career progression within the organisation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Current Western Australia Working with Children Check
- Experience leading change in education (preferred)
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or Diploma qualification or ACECQA approved equivalent (optional consideration)
