Job Summary
Educational Facilitator needed to support an educational program for unaccompanied children. Responsibilities include teaching one or more subject areas, developing an educational curriculum that is culturally competent and aligned with program expectations, hiring, training, and supervising program personnel, evaluating program effectiveness, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating with facility staff, federal staff, legal representatives, and community resources. Daily travel between locations is required. Must meet federal and state regulatory guidelines, manage classroom materials and equipment, report on program activities to Compass Connections and the Office of Refugee Resettlement, and assist with program planning, budgeting, and long- and short-term planning. Required English and Spanish fluency, a Bachelor’s degree, TESOL or equivalent certification, First aid/CPR certifications, and at least three years of teaching and supervisory experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) certification or equivalent
- First aid certification
- CPR certification
- Emergency behavior intervention training
- At least three (3) years of teaching experience and supervising, including a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience
