Job Summary
Educational Diagnostician role focusing on assessing students referred to special education services, coordinating with instructional personnel to determine eligible instructional programs, and participating in ARD/IEP processes. Responsibilities include selecting and administering formal and informal assessments, collecting and evaluating comprehensive student information via observations, interviews, and assessment data, collaborating with parents and teachers, presenting staff development, assisting with IEP implementation, and ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations. Requires a Master’s degree in educational assessment, Texas teaching and diagnostician certifications, and three years of teaching experience in a special education setting; strong knowledge of diagnostic procedures, data interpretation, and strong organizational and communication skills. Based in Fort Stockton, TX, full-time with potential district-wide travel.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in educational assessment
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate
- Three years of teaching experience in a special education setting
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures
- Expertise in education of special education students
- Ability to interpret data
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
