Job Summary
Coordinate all educational services for youth participating in virtual learning, ensuring academic progress, educational compliance, and collaboration between schools, families, residential staff, and community partners. Provide trauma-informed educational support while advocating for student success and educational stability. Manage IEP and 504 plans and navigate virtual learning platforms to support at-risk adolescents impacted by trauma, behavioral health challenges, or commercial sexual exploitation. Located in Hampton, Georgia, this role supports the mission of Devereux Georgia, a national nonprofit serving 10,000+ children annually. The position requires a Master's degree, GaPSC certification, and five years of experience working with vulnerable youth in educational or residential treatment settings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
- valid Administrative Certification, Educational Leadership Certification, or Special Education Certification
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification
- minimum of five years of experience working with disadvantaged, at-risk, or vulnerable youth in educational, residential treatment, foster care, behavioral health, or community-based settings
- knowledge of IEP and 504 processes, virtual learning platforms, and educational advocacy
- strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- valid driver's license
- ability to meet all Devereux background, health, and training requirements
- ability to meet Devereux drug screening requirements
